Pay Line
The face of every slot machine has a number of lines on it. Each line, on which the symbols have to match up in order for the player to win, is known as a pay line.
Progressive Slots
Sometimes a number of slot machines are linked together to create a combined jackpot. The jackpot total is calculated as a percentage of each coin deposited in each of the connected slot machines. In this case the amount of the jackpot continues to increase until a player hits the winning combination. Usually in order to be eligible for winning a progressive jackpot, the player will have to deposit the maximum number of coins stated on the slot machine.
Reels
The slot machine symbols are printed on the slot machine reels. The reels are delicate round gadgets which spin to disclose the symbols. Usually slot machines have three to five reels.

Players who are very enthusiastic about the game of slots can become a member of a Slots Machine Club at a casino of their choice. On becoming a member, the players receive a card which looks a lot like a credit card. This card is used by the players when they want to play on a slot machine. The use of the card enables the player to receive certain bonuses or promotion points which can be in form of cash. Different Club Cards offer different bonus schemes.
Stand Up Slot Machines
Stand Up Slot Machines are the opposite of another type of slot machine known as a low level slot machine. A stand up slot machine is basically a machine which is placed on a raised area from where the player is playing while standing up.
Symbols
The pictures or icons that are printed on the slot machine reels are known as the slot machine symbols. The symbols must line up correctly in order for the player to win.
